Originally from Maliotenam in North-East Quebec, Shauit is the one and only reggae singer in the world, who sings in Innu-aimun. A proud representative of indigenous culture, he combines reggae, hip hop and folk with the Innu folk music repertoire to passionately convey the realities shared by people from the various First Nations communities.
